The department

We are looking for a  0-3 PQE solicitor to operate as an effective member of the London Real Estate Group specialising in construction. You will undertake a wide variety of non-contentious construction work and to support the continued development of the practice.

 

You will also be responsible, under supervision, for your own caseload of work and assist senior members of the team on their caseload and support the Partners in particular in delivering high levels of service delivery. You will also need to achieve the targets as defined by the Group Head/Head of department, including contribution, hours and fees.

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The key criteria for the ideal candidate will include: 

  • Solid previous non-contentious construction experience
  • Enthusiasm for construction as a practice area, and commitment to client satisfaction is essential
  • Good technical drafting skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to effectively manage their time to achieve client and internal deadlines
  • Understanding the importance of client care with an ability to deal with a wide range of clients with differing objectives including being able to understand the commercial objectives of the client
  • Able to work within a team and provide support to Partners as appropriate
  • Confident Excel skills
  • Competent IT skills including Outlook, Word and time recording systems
  • Understanding of the strategy and vision of the firm
  • Communicate effectively with clients, in writing, over the telephone and in meetings
  • Convey technical legal information in an effective and accessible way
